Andrew Levitas (born in New York City in 1977) is an American artist who works as a painter, sculptor and filmmaker. He studied at New York University, graduating in 2000 from the Gallatin School, and for more than two decades he has shown his work in the New York and European art scenes, with exhibitions at auction houses, museums and art fairs.

His best-known sculptural work begins with photographs transferred onto custom transparencies, which are then hand-fused into detailed metal sheets. His "Metalwork Photography" experiment, begun in 2004, merges the image of a photograph with the physical presence of sculpture, and each print differs from the others depending on the degree of manual work. In his paintings, the so-called "organic abstractions" are built from pigments, canvases and organic materials he makes himself, in some cases whole trees; they reflect on emotion, nature and humanity's place in the contemporary world.

Alongside his art, he has written and directed feature films, including Minamata (2020), about photojournalist W. Eugene Smith, and has produced others such as The White Crow (2018). His work has been shown in several countries and acquired by institutions including the National Museum Wales.
