Carme Solé Vendrell (born 1944 in Barcelona) is a Spanish illustrator and writer best known for children's books. Since 1968 she has illustrated more than a hundred titles, and she also contributed to television series such as Víctor y María.

Her stories are typically poetic and often focus on periods of inner growth, sometimes tackling subjects rare in children's literature, such as the death of a mother. Landscape, always carefully nuanced, often mirrors these emotional journeys. She works across many media, including watercolour, gouache, pastels, coloured pencils and Indian ink, and is noted for the expressiveness of her faces, particularly the feelings they convey.

Among her best-known works are La lluna d'en Joan, The Rock and The Children of the Sea. She received the National Illustration Prize in 1979 and the Lazarillo Prize in 1981 for Raspall. She was twice a candidate for the Andersen Prize, and in 2021 she was awarded the Gold Medal of Merit in Fine Arts. Between 2012 and 2015, about 400 of her drawings were deposited at the Library of Catalonia.
