Fernando Derveld

Fernando Derveld (born 1976 in the Netherlands) is known mainly as a footballer. He played as a left back for Dutch clubs, English side Norwich City, Danish club OB, Heerenveen and Esbjerg, and after retiring he coached youth teams at Willem II.

As a painter, the available sources only record that he has produced a few paintings. A couple of them were made for a charity auction held in Esbjerg in 2006, and one square work measuring 90 x 90 cm is held in a private collection in Denmark. No further details are known about his technique or his painting career, so his place in the history of art remains, for now, undocumented.
