Goran Gatarić (born in Subotinje, 1961) is a Serbian painter who has worked independently. He was born in a small village in the municipality of Kakanj, in what was then the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia and is now Bosnia and Herzegovina.

He worked in Zenica and Sarajevo before settling in Milan in the early 1990s. There he met the art critic Maria Campitelli, who advised him to stay in Italy to advance his career. The outbreak of civil war in Bosnia, however, led him to return home. He kept working during the conflict, and his paintings attracted the interest of SFOR military personnel, who were among the main art buyers of those years. After the war he moved to Bratunac to organise exhibitions.

His shows include a group exhibition in Zenica in 1988, first prize at the Painters' Meeting of the Republika Srpska in Ilidža in 1994, and a solo exhibition in Novi Sad the same year. He also exhibited in Ljubovija, Pale, Bratunac and Zvornik in the following years. He now lives in Mačva, Serbia, and his works hang in the homes of prominent Serbians, while some of his pieces can be seen at the National Theatre of Serbia in Novi Sad.
