Ivan Cattaneo (born in Bergamo in 1953) is an Italian artist best known as a singer and songwriter whose music ranges from glam rock and disco to ska. He is also a painter and multimedia artist, and his visual work is best understood alongside his long musical career.

His music career began in the 1970s with the independent label Ultima Spiaggia, which released his debut album UOAEI in 1975 and the ironic glam rock record Primo secondo e frutta (Ivan compreso) in 1977. The latter brought his first commercial success with the single "Maria-Batman". After signing with CGD he released Urlo in 1980, widely regarded as his most critically acclaimed album, which included the hit "Polisex". In 1981 he revisited 1960s pop on 2060 Italian Graffiati, which reportedly sold around 475,000 copies.

Around 1986 he withdrew from the music industry, disappointed by the business and by television. He then devoted himself to painting, presenting his first exhibition, "100 Gioconde Haiku", in 1989. From 1995 he combined both careers, returning to recording with Luna presente (2005) and 80 e basta! (2010), a tribute to 1980s music. His legacy lies mainly in Italian glam and in his distinctive blend of music and visual art.
