Jennifer Lash, also known as Jini Fiennes, was an English novelist and painter born in Chichester in 1938 and died in Wiltshire in 1993. She published her first novel, The Burial, in 1961 at the age of twenty-three, and was regarded at the time as one of the most promising young figures among English artists. Although she is mainly remembered as a writer, she also exhibited her paintings.

She spent her early childhood in India, where her father was stationed, and after the family returned to England they settled in Surrey. She attended a Catholic boarding school and then Farnham Art School, though family problems cut her studies short at sixteen. In Suffolk she met the poet and gallery owner Iris Birtwistle, who encouraged her to begin her first novel. After marrying Mark Fiennes in 1962, she raised a large family that includes the actors Ralph and Joseph Fiennes.

Her paintings were shown in galleries in St Ives and Suffolk. After a period of remission from breast cancer, she wrote On Pilgrimage, her only non-fiction book. Her final novel, Blood Ties, was published posthumously in 1997.
