Lorenzo López de Rodas y Martín, known professionally as Lorenzo de Poposin, was a Spanish actor and director who built most of his career in Mexico. Born in Madrid in 1930, he moved to that country at a young age. The sources consulted do not mention any activity as a painter, so this entry does not cover work in the visual arts.

He worked in film, theatre and television. His most extensive presence was in telenovelas, including La madrastra (2005) and Tres mujeres (1999), and he also appeared in films such as El crimen del padre Amaro (2002). As a director he made titles such as Doménica Montero (1978) and El secreto de Alejandra (1997). On stage he took part in productions of works by authors such as Antonio Buero Vallejo and Alejandro Casona.

He was married to the actress María Idalia, and their son, Leonardo Daniel, is also an actor. He died in Cuernavaca, Morelos, in late December 2011, of natural causes.
