Melvyn Grant (born 1944 in London) is an English illustrator who works largely in digital media. Trained in traditional methods, he first worked with oil paints, but in the late 1990s he moved to creating most of his work with a digitizing tablet and the software Adobe Photoshop and Corel Painter. He lives and works on the south-east coast of England, although most of his commissions come from abroad.

Interested in illustrated art from an early age, Grant attended the Brassey School of Fine Art from the age of twelve until he left at eighteen. He then held a series of short-term jobs, including work as a guitarist, and studied electronics. After travelling through Europe to refine his painting, he returned to England and worked as an illustrator in several media, including animation. He soon found his niche in book covers, mostly fantasy and, to a lesser extent, science fiction, in styles ranging from children's artwork to dark, realistic adult images.

His book work includes illustrations for the Fighting Fantasy gamebooks, Darren Shan's Demonata series and Jonathan Stroud's Bartimaeus sequence. He is also closely associated with Iron Maiden, designing covers for the albums Fear of the Dark, Virtual XI, Death on the Road, The Final Frontier and From Fear to Eternity, and for the single The Reincarnation of Benjamin Breeg. This makes him one of the few artists, alongside Derek Riggs and Mark Wilkinson, to have drawn the band's mascot Eddie on more than one album.
