Myuran Sukumaran (London, 17 April 1981 – Nusakambangan, 29 April 2015) was an Australian man convicted in Indonesia of drug trafficking as a member of the Bali Nine. The reference material presents him mainly through this case, and it offers no information about an artistic career, so this biography is limited to the documented facts.

Born in London, he moved with his Sri Lankan Tamil Hindu family to Australia in 1985, settling in Auburn, in western Sydney. After leaving university he worked in a mail room and at a passport office, and he later became involved in smuggling heroin from Indonesia to Australia.

In April 2005 he was arrested at a hotel in Kuta, Bali, with other members of the group, and police seized 334 grams of heroin. A court in Denpasar sentenced him to death in 2006; the Indonesian Supreme Court upheld the sentence in 2011. President Joko Widodo rejected his clemency plea in December 2014, and he was executed in April 2015.
