Silvia Quandt is a German painter and graphic artist who has worked as a freelance painter since the 1960s, and her work is associated with Fantastic Realism. She was born in Berlin, though sources disagree on the year: some give 1937, while the record gives 1939. She studied at the Academy for Graphic Arts in Munich and then trained as a commercial artist before devoting herself to painting.

Her paintings and graphic works blend Surrealist tendencies with a strong interest in Romanticism. She received the Burda Award in 1968 and the Swabian Art Award in 1969, and has exhibited in Munich, Düsseldorf, Münster, Mannheim, Bremen, London, Paris and Zurich. Some of her works are held by the Bavarian State Painting Collections and the Haus der Kunst, both in Munich, where she lives and works.

She is the daughter of Herbert Quandt, a German industrialist and prominent Nazi who later became the major shareholder of BMW. The role of the Quandt family businesses during the Second World War, including the use of slave labour in their factories, has been examined in a documentary and a later study, which has given her name a public profile that often overshadows her career as an artist.
