Vittorio Osvaldo Tommasini, known by the pen name Farfa, was an Italian painter and poet born in Trieste in 1879 and died in San Remo in 1964. He joined the Italian Futurist movement, an avant-garde current that sought to break with academic tradition and celebrate speed, technology and modern life. His painting belongs to that context, although the sources consulted offer few details about his specific works, his training or his creative phases.

As a poet, Farfa also wrote, reflecting the literary dimension shared by many Futurists, whose manifestos combined words and images. His name is associated with that generation of Italian artists who sought to renew visual and poetic language in the early decades of the twentieth century.

Still, the available information about his legacy is limited. He is remembered mainly as part of Italian Futurism and as an example of an artist who pursued both painting and writing within that avant-garde.
