Łukasz Smuglewicz was a painter, probably of Polish origin, active in the eighteenth century. He lived from 1709 to 1780, a period in which painting in much of central and eastern Europe developed through workshops and religious and private commissions. His name is associated with the training of another painter, Franciszek Smuglewicz, which places him as the teacher of a later generation within the craft.

The available sources offer few details about his training, his commissions and the extent of his output. For this reason it is not possible to describe his style precisely or list his main works, and any claim about his technique or subjects would be speculative.

His present significance rests mainly on his role as teacher of Franciszek Smuglewicz, whose career carried the craft forward within the family. Beyond that teaching relationship, the surviving information about his legacy is limited.
