King Baudouin Foundation

Belgium · 9 works · 8 painters

The King Baudouin Foundation (Dutch: Koning Boudewijnstichting; French: Fondation Roi-Baudouin) is a foundation based in Brussels, Belgium. Set up in 1976 to mark the 25th anniversary of King Baudouin's accession to the throne, it has been under the honorary presidency of Queen Mathilde since 2015. It works to improve society through projects in Belgium, across Europe and internationally. Its link to painting is incidental: the website lists nine paintings connected to it, including works by Hendrick met de Bles, who appears most often with two titles, along with Jacob Jordaens, Félicien Rops, Henri Evenepoel and James Ensor.
