Hill-Stead Museum is a house and fine arts museum in Farmington, Connecticut, United States. Its Colonial Revival residence and surrounding gardens were built between 1898 and 1901 for the industrialist Alfred Atmore Pope, to designs by his daughter Theodate Pope Riddle. After Theodate died in 1946, the house was kept as it was and opened to the public as a museum. Its rooms display mainly French Impressionist painting, with works by Claude Monet, Edgar Degas, James McNeill Whistler and Mary Cassatt, alongside prints and sculpture. Among the highlights featured online are Degas's Woman in a Tub and two versions of Monet's Grainstacks.
