The Museo Boldini occupies the Palazzo Massari in Ferrara, Italy, and is devoted to Giovanni Boldini, who was born in the city. It is a biographical museum sharing the palace with two others, the Museo dell'Ottocento and the Museo d'arte moderna e contemporanea Filippo de Pisis. Opened in 1935 under the fascist regime, as part of the city's urban and cultural redevelopment, it was later moved from the Palazzo dei Diamanti to the Palazzo Massari. Its core is a substantial collection of Boldini's works, donated by the artist's widow, alongside drawings, studies and personal belongings. Boldini was one of the leading portraitists of European high society in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Among the best-known paintings in the collection are Lady in Pink and The Walk in the Bois. The museum has been closed for restoration since the 2012 Northern Italy earthquakes.
