Venice, Italy · 9 works · 9 painters

The Pinacoteca Querini Stampalia is an art collection and museum housed in the palace of the same name, in Venice, Italy. It sits in the Castello district, on the left bank of the Grand Canal. Its picture gallery occupies twenty rooms on the second floor, alongside furniture, porcelain, musical instruments and a large public library, with works spanning the fourteenth to the eighteenth century. Among the paintings featured online are Giovanni Bellini's Presentation in the Temple, Palma el Viejo's Portrait of Paola Priuli and Pietro Longhi's Portrait of the family Sagredo. Carlo Scarpa's renovation in the early 1960s and later additions by Mario Botta shape the building's recent history.
