The Museo Civico di Sansepolcro is the municipal art gallery of this Tuscan town in the province of Arezzo, Italy. It occupies a group of connected palaces, among them the medieval Palazzo della Residenza and the Palazzo dei Conservatori del Popolo. Founded in 1975, its main draw is the work of Piero della Francesca: the Misericordia polyptych, two fresco fragments showing Saint Julian the Hospitaller and Saint Louis of Toulouse, and the celebrated Resurrection fresco, viewable through a glass enclosure. The collection also includes works by Luca Signorelli, such as the Standard of the Crucifixion, and by Pontormo, whose Saint Quentin is held here.
